Recession?.....really?!

Kudos to me and my staff here at Harley for making our sales goal once again and getting a bonus!
Well of course since we sold everything in the store just about, common sense will tell you that we need replenishment. We haven't received anything of substance in about 4 weeks. Here we are, telling customers to be on the lookout because our corporate office in FL ordered some of the new fall merchandise we wanted (hand picked from the million paged Dealer Book) and we only got 1 women's hoodie. Meanwhile our Union Station store received several different items! Where the h#!! is our stuff!!!

Today out of all the things that they could send it had to black and un-coordinating with what we have already. CLASH! And once again common sense. We have these orange thermals (been here for almost a year) and they cost about $74. So now they send a black thermal and its $64. Here I am struggling to maneuver the merchandise around attempting to stick to the Harley standards but its almost impossible. When you enter our store it has a dark feel because everything in here is black! People walk in and it just looks un-exciting and empty. Then they see the prices and laugh as they exit. (I just spent about $60 in my own store, if I can so should you!)

People are keeping their wallets stapled shut! The colder it gets and the closer we get to Christmas I expect it to be dead slow, especially if we don't even have anything to offer.
I have a conspiracy theory about our corporate office in FL. I think that they don't want to send us any merchandise because they know that we will sell it all and get another bonus that they have to come out the pocket for.....think about it!
I'm a fashion student with a ton of merchandising experience. I think I can pull our store out of this funk and help push the stuff we have out. I love making bonuses :)
